This is a pivotal role within the village, suited to someone who enjoys being close to the day-to-day, leading people, and making sure things run well for residents.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Village Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of village services across the site. You’ll lead teams across activities, catering, housekeeping, administration, and clinical care support, ensuring services are well organised, consistently delivered, and aligned with resident expectations.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be visible in the village, working closely with residents and staff while keeping a strong handle on operations. You will also take an active role in planning, organising, and delivering the village activities and events programme, ensuring it reflects resident interests and supports a vibrant community.
Key areas of focus include:
- Lead the day to day delivery of village services, guiding a diverse team including clinical, hospitality, administration, and activities staff to create a safe, welcoming and vibrant environment
- Partner closely with the Village Operations Manager to drive high standards across operations, quality and compliance
- Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of village activities and events, ensuring they are well-resourced, aligned to resident interests, regularly reviewed, and clearly communicated to residents.
- Champion exceptional resident experiences by overseeing services that support wellbeing, lifestyle and community connection
- Build strong relationships with residents and staff, acting as a trusted point of contact and keeping everyone informed and connected
You’re organised, hands-on, and enjoy being part of the day-to-day life of a service environment, supporting both residents and team members.
You’ll bring:
- Leadership experience in retirement living, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar environment
- Strong operational capability and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable being visible and involved in the day-to-day operations
- Experience in planning or delivering activities, events, or community programmes is advantageous
- Able to build strong, practical working relationships with residents, families and staff
- Focused on delivering a consistently high standard for residents
