The Opportunity
As Village Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic execution of The Botanic’s business and community plans. You will have the rare opportunity to shape a high-end village that is both resident-centric and commercially successful. Your focus will span operational excellence, compliance, team leadership, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.
Reporting to the Directors via Business Partner Alan Edwards and supported by a talented leadership team (Sales, Maintenance, Administration, F&B, and eventually Care Services), you will deliver a five-star village experience while ensuring The Botanic’s vision is fully realised.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and execute the village’s annual business plan aligned to strategic goals.
- Ensure full compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks including the Retirement Villages Act and Health & Safety legislation.
- Oversee daily operations including property maintenance, staff management, resident engagement, and financial performance.
- Build strong relationships with residents, staff, suppliers, and partners.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, health and safety, and continuous improvement across all areas.
- Champion The Botanic’s values and culture across all touchpoints.
- A tertiary qualification (likely a bachelor’s degree).
- Proven track record in business or operations management (minimum 5 years).
- Experience in retirement or aged care sectors desirable.
- Strong financial acumen, planning and reporting skills.
- Leadership and team development experience.
- Sound understanding of ORAs, village compliance, and resident service delivery.
