Recruitment Consultant

About the Company
Farrow Jamieson is an executive search and recruitment firm with more than 40 years in the New Zealand market. We are part of the Alpha Group of Companies, which include, Sheffield South Island, Emergent, The Johnson Group, Project Plus, Manamahi, Asset Recruitment, Alpha Recruitment, Triangle Recruitment, Healthwise Personnel and Staffwise.
We have built our longevity on a willingness to keep changing: adopting the best technology we can find globally, testing new approaches and continually improving how we identify and attract talent. Technology matters to us, but people matter more. We never lose sight of the fact that recruitment deals with people's careers, hopes and aspirations.

About  the Role
This is an opportunity for a Recruitment Consultant who wants to become more skilled, effective and commercially capable. You may currently work in a specialist discipline or as a generalist; what matters is your appetite to listen, change, grow and contribute to the team.

You will manage recruitment assignments, build trusted client and candidate relationships, and use contemporary technology and search methods to identify and engage the right people.
Duties
  • Manage recruitment assignments from briefing through to successful appointment.
    • Build enduring relationships with clients and understand what success looks like for them.
    • Identify, approach and engage high-quality candidates using modern search tools and technology.
    • Represent candidates thoughtfully, recognising the importance of career decisions.
    • Contribute ideas, knowledge and effort to the wider Farrow Jamieson team.
    • Keep developing your craft and look for better, faster and more effective ways to work.
Skills & Experience
We are interested in recruitment professionals who can demonstrate:

• Recruitment experience in a specialist discipline or generalist environment.
• Strong listening, communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine commitment to client satisfaction and high-quality work.
• Curiosity about technology and new ways of identifying and attracting talent.
• The capacity to accept feedback, change approach and keep developing.
Culture

Farrow Jamieson people do not talk about “hot desks”, “rock stars” or “ninjas”. We talk about client satisfaction, doing great work and enjoying the success that follows.

We are a supportive team that values professional judgement, continuous improvement and shared success. Our expectation is for people to commit to the team as well as their own performance.
Benefits
  • Grow your recruitment career in a supportive, professional, experienced team environment.
    • Use leading technology, sourced globally, to make search and engagement more effective.
    • Join a long-established national firm that continues to evolve.
    • Develop management and leadership skills within Farrow Jamieson or the wider Alpha Group of Companies.
    • Build deeper capability across client management, search, candidate engagement and recruitment delivery.
How to Apply
If you call, be ready to answer two questions: How do you know recruitment is what you want to do as a career? And can you convince us that you will listen, grow and contribute to a highly professional team.
