Quotation/Quantity Surveying/Job Costing Specialist - Roofing Company

About the Company
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Job Costing person to prepare quotes and specifications for a thriving roofing company. It is a home office based role and you will need to be available 35 - 40 hours a week on average. Roof Auckland have a business model based on utilizing skilled roofing professionals on a subcontracted basis to reroof and repair roofs for residential and commercial clients. The company does not have their own offices and they use cloud-based systems and processes to manage their business. The focus is on getting the job done and the hours you work can be flexible so long as deadlines are met. Industry and company specific training will be offered to the successful candidate.

About the Role
This role reports to the Managing Director. You will work closely with two project managers and your purpose in life will be to have responsibility for all aspects of job quoting and costings documentation. This will specifically entail the management of quoting documentation to ensure the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed. Systems and processes are well established and proven and need to be specifically and consistently adhered to. A full position description is available to interested candidates. There will inevitably be ad hoc duties that will require flexibility and thinking on your feet to find solutions to issues as they arise.

About You
Suitable candidates will ideally have a demonstrated background undertaking quantity surveying tasks and providing quotations or job costings to organisations involved in the construction/building sector. Having some knowledge of the roofing industry will be a definite advantage. Fluent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will need to have an eye for detail and be familiar with quoting systems and procedures. You will need to be flexible and adaptable and have the ability to deal with multiple projects/sites and have practical problem-solving skills. An energetic, well organised and proactive approach will be essential to being successful in this role.
