Intermediate Engineer/Electrical Project Manager

This is an opportunity to join a specialist advisory and project management consultancy operating across New Zealand’s energy and infrastructure sectors.

The Role
This is a broad, career-building role combining project delivery with commercial advisory exposure.

You will work across a diverse portfolio of energy infrastructure projects while also supporting clients with strategic and commercial decisions. The position offers a clear pathway into more senior roles, including client leadership and project ownership.

The scope is intentionally wide, designed for someone who wants to grow quickly and take on increasing responsibility over time.

Duties
  • Support delivery of energy and infrastructure projects end-to-end
  • Assist with commercial advisory including contracts and strategy
  • Contribute to due diligence, business cases, and financial analysis
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, and technical teams
  • Support procurement and tender processes
  • Produce high-quality client reports and presentations
  • Analyse market, regulatory, and commercial factors impacting projects
  • Contribute to internal growth initiatives and business strategy
Skills
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, or related project environments
  • Exposure to renewables, electricity networks, or grid connections preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
  • Ability to work across both technical and business challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in engineering, finance, economics, or similar
