The Position
Reporting to the General Manager Industry, the role is a mix of leadership and hands on application. Day to day you will be responsible for low and medium voltage technical design, estimating, quoting, and leading the workshop to deliver on manufacturing targets. Liaising direct with clients, you will play an essential role in the development of innovative solutions, while excellent internal communications will ensure you champion a culture of health and safety and pro-active stock management. Your sound understanding of project management will ensure quality outcomes, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and workshop team engagement.
Key skills and experience preferred
- Electrical/Mechanical or associated trade or tertiary qualification
- Exposure to manufacturing electrical, switchboard or automation solutions
- Competency in CAD design or drawing applications
- Experience using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Experienced in takeoffs, estimation and quoting
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering products and brands
- Outstanding internal and external communication
- Exposure to project management in a manufacturing context
