An opportunity now exists for an experienced Commercial Director to join the Executive Leadership Team and help shape the next phase of the organisation's growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Commercial Director will play a central role in shaping business strategy and improving commercial performance across the organisation.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will help guide strategic decision making, evaluate new opportunities and ensure the business continues to improve profitability, operational performance and long-term value.
You will partner across Sales, Operations, Service Delivery and Technology, providing commercial leadership that supports informed decision making and strong business outcomes.
The role also retains executive oversight of the finance function, ensuring sound financial governance, planning and reporting while using financial insight to support commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute business strategy.
- Drive commercial performance through improved profitability, pricing, investment decisions and business analysis.
- Support the evaluation of new business opportunities, strategic initiatives and growth investments.
- Provide commercial leadership across key operational and customer-focused initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve business performance and organisational effectiveness.
- Lead the preparation and evaluation of business cases and capital investment proposals.
- Oversee financial planning, reporting, governance and compliance across the organisation.
- Lead and develop the finance function to provide commercially focused insight and decision support.
You are an experienced executive with a track record of combining commercial leadership with strong financial capability.
You enjoy working across the business, partnering with operational leaders and contributing to strategic decisions that improve commercial performance.
Your background is likely to include:
- Experience in a Commercial Director, Finance Director, CFO or comparable executive leadership role.
- Demonstrated success improving business performance, profitability and commercial outcomes.
- Strong commercial judgement supported by sound financial and analytical capability.
- Experience influencing executive teams and working across multiple business functions.
- Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience operating within complex, customer-focused organisations.
- Relevant executive and financial leadership experience, with appropriate professional qualifications.
