Using TV for Recruitment Advertising

Farrowjamieson were the first recruitment company in Australasia to put together packages for clients that included a 30 second television advertisement.  Due to the competitive pricing of television in the morning and business breakfast sessions of TV One the advertisements ran twice a day for five days (10 spots) for a combined total that was very similar to a single colour insertion of a print advertisement in the Saturday New Zealand Herald.  This could be undertaken because of efficient production and the results were certainly impressive.

Candidates for the roles commented that they had been "having their breakfast" and suddenly saw a role that was of interest and certainly it created a level of discussion for the clients, who thoroughly enjoyed the positive feedback. The placement of the advertisements through "ASB Business" and the news section of "Breakfast" on TV One targeted an audience of people interested in a business update and breaking news.

The result?

Several passive candidates on the shortlist who were not in the market for a new role.
