Situation

Mercer Technologies Ltd required a senior Sales and Services Manager with experience in both and engineering services and medical background to lead a national team. The GM sent an email to me to source such a person as he was leaving for overseas that evening.

Strategy

Denise Corlett undertook a database search for a suitable candidate with just the background required.  Two key people with just the right skills were identified and interviewed.  Both were interviewed, but one had the ideal skills as well as organisational fit to lead the team now and into the future. 

Outcome

Allan Wilkinson was appointed, and began work today.
