Situation ADHB needed a CSSD Manager to lead their world class department. Management believed that Western Europe and the UK were the sources most likely to provide the person with the required experience and skill set. more.. They required someone with proven leadership within a complex, high-volume, multi-site organisation and with specific experience of the model, systems and processes utilised at ADHB. Strategy Denise Corlett and Gordon Duncan undertook the search for a suitable candidate in these international markets. The strategy was multi-faceted and included:- Gaining a full brief and a visit of ADHB CSSD to understand the specific requirements, model and systems that any suitable candidate would need to work with and understand. Researching the key bodies, organisations, networks , hospitals and super centres in Western Europe/UK that were related to this Liaising with overseas NPA (network partner) firms to assist in the search process Speaking with previous CSSD Manager to understand the role in more detail and to gather any other contacts in Western Europe. Approaching key people working in this market to "spread the word", gather further contacts, and recruit potential candidates. Key people in France, Holland, Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland. Advertising online and in print media magazines specific to the Decontamination and Sterilisation market in Europe.
Outcome 109 days from taking the brief to having a signed contract.
