Origin Energy
Queensland
Simon Ganley heads up Origin Energy’s Darling Downs 630MW power plant. It is currently under construction with power scheduled to be produced commercially very shortly. Based in Queensland, Australia, the plant uses coal seam gas as a fuel source. Simon was working in Australia but found as a result of a global search project conducted by Peter Browning and Alan Watt of Farrow Jamieson.

David Smales has been appointed to this role with Origin Energy. The company has 6 power stations but is embarking on a rapid increase in generating capacity including major thermal plants as well as wind and solar power plants. David will lead the strategy development and implementation of the plan. David was identified in the UK as a result of an international search assignment conducted by Peter Browning and Alan Watt of Farrow Jamieson.
